The Higashi-Hiroshima Semiconductor Forum is sponsored by Higashi-Hiroshima City and co-sponsored by the Chugoku Regional Semiconductor-related Industry Promotion Counci. More than 100 people from companies, local governments, universities, and other educational institutions participated as co-sponsors at the Hiroshima University Academic Reception Hall.

Mayor Takagaki of Higashi-Hiroshima City gave a greeting from the organizers, Regional Economy Director Shimode of the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry introduced efforts for human resource development and regional revitalization through industry-government-academia co-creation in the semiconductor field.

The keynote speeches were ``Semiconductor industry supply chain and the activities of the Setouchi Semiconductor Co-Creation Consortium'' by Professor Teramoto of Research Institute for Nanodevices Hiroshima University. Director Tanaka of the Advanced Power Electronics Research Center of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology lecture titled "Latest technological trends in next-generation power semiconductors."
They have a lively exchange of views about Semiconductor industry in question-and-answer session.
